Socio-ecological solutions for agricultural resilience
In a changing climate, identifying agricultural management practices that support rural livelihoods and bolster the adaptive capacity of agriculture are critically needed. While our research highlights the many co-benefits – below- and above-ground – that could emerge from diversifying agricultural practices, it raises an important question: can on-farm diversification be used to make rural agricultural communities more resilient, in the face of emerging climate challenges?
